Booking a Stay
How do I book a property?+
Browse our curated properties, select your dates and number of guests, then click "Reserve". You'll be guided through the booking process with secure payment options.
Can I book instantly?+
Most Selecta properties support instant booking. Some exclusive properties may require a confirmation from the host within 24 hours.
How far in advance should I book?+
We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance for popular destinations, especially during peak season (December-March for Patagonia, March-May for wine country).
Can I modify my reservation?+
Yes, you can modify dates and guest count from your bookings dashboard, subject to availability and the property's cancellation policy.
Payments & Pricing
What payment methods are accepted?+
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express via Stripe. For guests in Argentina, we also accept MercadoPago (debit, bank transfer, cash at Rapipago/PagoFacil).
What currency are prices listed in?+
All prices are displayed in USD. Argentine guests paying via MercadoPago will see the ARS equivalent at the current exchange rate.
Is there a service fee?+
Selecta charges a 12% service fee on the nightly rate. This covers platform operations, 24/7 support, and our curation process. Cleaning fees, if applicable, are shown separately.
When am I charged?+
You are charged the full amount at the time of booking. For cancellations, refunds are processed according to the property's cancellation policy.
Check-in & Check-out
What are typical check-in/check-out times?+
Standard check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Each property may have different times, which are displayed on the property page and in your booking confirmation.
Can I request early check-in or late check-out?+
You can request this through the messaging system. It's subject to availability and the host's discretion. Some properties offer it at no extra charge.
How do I get directions and access info?+
After your booking is confirmed, you'll receive detailed check-in instructions via email and in your bookings dashboard, including address, access codes, and host contact information.
Cancellations & Refunds
What are the cancellation policies?+
Each property has one of three policies: Flexible (free cancellation up to 24h before), Moderate (free up to 5 days before), or Strict (50% refund up to 7 days before). The policy is shown on each property page.
How do I cancel a booking?+
Go to your Bookings page, select the reservation, and click "Cancel". The refund will be processed according to the cancellation policy and returned to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
What if there's an issue with the property?+
Contact us immediately through the messaging system or at hello@stayselecta.com. If the property doesn't match its description, we'll work to find a resolution or alternative accommodation.
Our Curation Process
How are properties selected?+
Every property on Selecta goes through a rigorous vetting process. Our AI analyzes location, design, amenities, reviews, and value. Only properties scoring 80+ out of 100 make it to the platform.
What does "Selecta Pick" mean?+
Properties with the Selecta Pick badge have scored 85+ in our quality assessment. These represent the absolute best stays in their category and location.
Are all reviews verified?+
Guest reviews shown on property pages come from verified bookings on the original platform (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.). We display the aggregate rating and selected highlights.

Which cities/regions do you cover?+
Selecta currently curates properties across Argentina: Buenos Aires, Mendoza (wine country), Bariloche & the Lake District, El Chalten & Patagonia, Ushuaia, Salta & the Northwest, and the Atlantic Coast.
Will you expand to other countries?+
We're focused on building the definitive luxury rental platform for Argentina first. Expansion to Uruguay, Chile, and Brazil is on our roadmap.
